If you work, or have previously worked, for an ACCA Approved Employer holding Gold or Platinum trainee development status, you can claim your performance objectives in a simplified way. We’ve determined that the training and support these employers provide fully satisfy our Practical Experience Requirements (PER).

Please note, you must still achieve 36 months of relevant, supervised experience.

Eligibility criteria
Not all teams or roles within an employer will be eligible to achieve and record their experience in this way. You'll need to confirm that your employer has the correct level of approval.

Please check if your employer will allow you to record your achievement of the performance objectives in a simplified way.

How it works
If your employer allows this, it means you won't need to record the objectives in the MyExperience tool and will instead achieve them through the training with your employer.

You must update your MyExperience to record with your employment information to let us know that you are with an Approved Employer, and plan to claim the objectives in this way.

Completing your PER
You don't need to register a practical experience supervisor, have any time claims or performance objectives approved within the tool, as these will be done within the Approved Employer PER confirmation form, which should be completed and submitted to ACCA when you meet the 36-month requirement or when leaving your employer.

Ensure every signature is either an official digital signature or a handwritten signature. Typed signatures are not acceptable.

Submit the completed form by:

  • Raising a case via the link below, or
  • Uploading it during your ACCA membership application

Once we receive your form, we’ll update your record to reflect your achieved objectives and time.

What if I leave my approved employer?
If you still have outstanding objectives or experience months after you’ve submitted the form, you can continue and complete them with your new employer.
