Student - Check if lecturing experience counts towards Practical Experience Requirement (PER)

If you’re employed as a lecturer, you can claim a maximum of 12 months of lecturing experience towards your PER.

At a minimum, your lecturing experience must be at a level equivalent to our Applied Skills.

Recording your lecturing role
In your MyExperience tool, please ensure to mark any lecturing role accordingly to ensure that your experience and time can be calculated accurately.

When you apply for membership, you will be required to submit documentation to support any lecturing experience claimed.

Claiming performance objectives

If you wish to claim any performance objectives based on your lecturing experience, they must be related to what you learned to achieve the performance objective, not what was taught to your students.
