Eligibility criteria
 

If you are a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), you can apply for ACCA membership if you meet the following criteria:

 

  • Education, examination and experience.
    • You must have completed CA ANZ’s professional education and examination programme and met its practical experience requirements.
  • Post-membership experience.
    • You must have at least five years of professional practice following admission to CA ANZ membership.
  • Continuing professional development (CPD).
    • You must be in fully up to date and compliant with CA ANZ’s CPD standards.
  • Contribution to the profession.
    • You will need to show evidence of your contribution to business, the profession, or the wider community. This should be supported by two referees who can confirm your standing in writing.

 

 

Supporting documentation

When submitting your application, you must provide the following documents:

 

  • Letter of Good Standing from CA ANZ
    • This must be no older than two months and confirm your:
      • Completion of CA ANZ’s education, examination, and practical experience requirements
      • Date of admission to CA ANZ membership
      • Compliance with CPD obligations
  • Two Professional References
    • Written confirmation from two referees attesting to your competence, integrity, and suitability for ACCA membership.
  • Personal Statement with Verification
    • A statement outlining your notable contributions to your profession, community, CA ANZ or ACCA, and include third-party verification of these achievements.
