Get started with your ACCA Experience goals

Working towards ACCA membership? The Practical Experience Requirement (PER) is an important part of your journey. It’s designed to help you build the real-world skills you’ll need for a successful career in finance or accounting.

To complete PER, you’ll need to:

  • Gain 36 months of relevant work experience in an accounting or finance role

  • Achieve nine performance objectives that show your skills and professional behaviour at work

These objectives help you grow in your role and show that you’re ready to become a qualified ACCA member.

How to record your experience

Once you’ve registered with ACCA, you’ll get access to your MyACCA account. Inside, you’ll find the My Experience tool, this is where you:

  • Log your work experience

  • Track your progress towards completing your performance objectives

You can start recording any time, and it’s a good idea to update it regularly so you stay on track.
