If you have a relevant academic or professional qualification, you may not need to take all of the exams and can be exempted from some of them. This means you can progress quickly, building on what you already know.

Exemptions based on work experience
There are no exam exemptions available based on work experience for the ACCA Qualification.
Exemptions based on relevant work experience can be claimed for the introductory and intermediate exams at the Foundations in Accountancy level. These would be applied for at the same time as applying for Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) status.
