Your choice to accept exemptions
It’s your decision whether you accept the exemptions you’ve been awarded. You may choose to accept all, some, or none depending on your learning goals and professional plans.

Accepting your exemptions
Once your exemption assessment is complete, you’ll receive an email notification via your portal. Your eligible exemptions will be displayed, and you’ll need to:

  1. Review and select the exemptions you wish to accept
  2. Proceed to make payment

Exemptions are not fully awarded until you’ve accepted and paid for them in full.

No rush, accept when you're ready

Your eligible exemptions will stay on your account so you can accept them whenever you are ready. There is no time limit to select and pay for your exemptions. This gives you flexibility to decide what’s best for you.

BSc Professional Accountancy with the University of London
If you are considering applying for the BSc Professional Accountancy with the University of London then it is a requirement to sit and pass the Financial Reporting, Taxation, and Audit and Assurance exams with ACCA. Should you be eligible for an exemption for any of these exams, you should not select these exemptions if you want to remain eligible for the BSc.

Check with your employer first
Some employers prefer their ACCA trainees to sit the exams rather than accept exemptions. If you’re currently employed, it’s a good idea to check with your employer before making a decision.

Considering the Audit Qualification

If there's a chance that you might want to apply for an Audit Qualification in the UK, Ireland, Channel Islands & Isle or Man, or Zimbabwe in the future, then there may be further requirements that you should consider before confirming your exemptions. Please see the exam exemption requirements for each jurisdiction on ACCA Global.
