If you are a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), you can apply for ACCA membership through the following route:

Step 1: Register for the ACCA Qualification 
To begin your journey, you must first register for the ACCA Qualification.

As part of the registration process, you will be required to submit a MIA membership certificate, letter of good standing plus other identifications and qualification documents, together with a registration code.

Please ensure you enter the correct code based on your status with MIA:

  • Members - MIA

Step 2: Receive Your Exemptions
Once your application and MIA document have been reviewed and approved, you will be awarded exemptions from the following levels of the ACCA Qualification:

  • Applied Knowledge Level

  • Applied Skills Level


These exemptions reflect and recognise your professional achievements with MIA.

Step 3: Complete the Remaining ACCA Exam Requirements
To progress towards ACCA membership, you must complete the following Strategic Professional Level requirements:

 

  • Mandatory Exams (you must complete both):

  • Strategic Business Leader (SBL)

  • Strategic Business Reporting (SBR)


 

  • Optional Exam (choose one):

  • Advanced Financial Management (AFM)

  • Advanced Performance Management (APM)

  • Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA) 


Ethics Requirement
You must also complete the Ethics and Professional Skills Module (EPSM).

This module develops your ethical decision-making and professional skills, preparing you for membership.​

Step 4: Apply for Direct Admission to ACCA Membership
Once you have successfully completed all of the above requirements, you may then submit your application for direct admission to ACCA membership<DIRECT ADMISSION APPLICATION LINK TO BE ADDED>


Supporting Documentation Required for Your Application
As part of the application, you'll need to submit a Letter of Good Standing from MIA. This letter must confirm that:

  • You are currently in good standing with MIA
